Crunchy Sunflower Seed Waffle or Pancake Topping

Ingredients

sunflower seeds

tbsp
ghee

tbsp
water
Instructions
Heat ghee, add the seeds and sauté for a minute.
Add the water and cover to cook till the water evaporates, stirring now and then.
The seeds will be slightly golden. The total cooking time is about 5 minutes. If your water evaporates sooner, add a little more and sauté till done.
If you want them sweet, add a little maple syrup.
Sprinkle some cinnamon to increase digestibility and add an interesting twist.
Notes
The flavour becomes toasty and caramelised, but the seeds lose their drying quality and will not cause bloating
