1 1/2cupwhite basmati rice flour- I milled 1 cup of rice into fine flour
1small beetroot, chopped into matchstick pieces
1cupboiling water
1/2tspsalt
1tspghee
Instructions
Method 1
Cook the beetroot in some water under a lid for about 20 mins or until very soft to mash.
Using a masher, press the beetroot into a smooth puree.
Mix the beetroot with one cup of boiling water and make chapatis following my standard Rice Flatbread recipe (link in the notes).
Method 2
Alternatively, blend chopped beetroot with the water till smooth in a blender. Then heat it in a pan till boiling. (Add a splash of water to account for the evaporation.) Now follow the Rice Flatbread recipe.
